Clemow Avenue in its early days…

Here’s what Clemow Avenue looked like in the 1920s.  This is photo was first published in a pamphlet put out by the Ottawa Improvement Commission, later the Federal District Commission, and then the National Capital Commission.

    • Thanks for the question. I looked again at the photo, and remembered that there was a better quality one that I had seen at LAC online, so I have added that photo instead and it is is much clearer. In any event, according to the LAC record, it is looking east. I am not sure which block this is, but my guess is that it is in the block between Bronson and Percy, as Clemow stretches out to the horizon here without any definite break.
