The Pinhey House 237-39 Clemow Avenue

image

This grand house (as seen here in 1950) stood on Clemow Avenue until the early 1960s, when it was destroyed by fire.  It was built for Charles H. Pinhey, civil engineer, in ca. 1909.  Pinhey was part of the long-time pioneer family that had settled at Pinhey’s Point/Horaceville in the 1820s.
