Heritage Ottawa Walking Tour – Clemow Avenue


On Sunday September 15, Heritage Ottawa will have a walking tour of Clemow and Monkland Avenues. The tour starts at 2 pm at the Patterson Creek Pavilion and will look at the unique design of the street, the architectural housing styles, and will discuss some of the important people who lived here over the years.

Tree to Come Down?


This mature tree – and no, it is not an Ash Tree – on the west side of Ralph Street near the intersection with Woodlawn has a freshly painted red X on it.  Are this tree’s days numbered?  Contact the Glebe Environment Committee if you are concerned.

Glebe Planning Issues Part 1

Looks like a busy September for planning issues that affect the Glebe.

  • Monday, September 16th,  City sponsored event on Conversions, City Hall from 7 to 9 pm
  • Thursday, September 19th, there is an update on the Parking Garage on Second Avenue. This is at the GCC from 7 to 9 pm.
  • September 21st, first of two free Planning Primers held by city
  • Monday, September 23, it the OMB Hearing for 60 Ella. Two full days have been scheduled.
  • Wednesday, September 25, the City is holding an Open House on TOD (Transit Oriented Development) from 1 to 8 pm. More info to come…
